Shemaroo conducts piracy raid worth Rs 50.5 lakhs

Mumbai: Shemaroo’s anti-piracy team along with eight police officers raided eight stalls and arrested seven people.
 
Soyeb and Vinayak Jadhav from the anti-piracy team of Shemaroo Entertainment has gone to meet D C P Sanjay Sintre Saheb on 5 April to discuss the raid near Thane, Navpada where pirated VCDs and DVDs were being sold in large quantities.
 
The seven pirates arrested were Tejbhadur Maniram Chauhan, Sunil Vishnu Surang, Brajesh Kumar Sahani, Akash Ramdas Jadhav, Dinesh Harijan, Anil Rajdev Sharma and Vijay Ramashankar Shani.
 
They seized 14,000 VCDs and DVDs worth Rs. 50.5 lakhs (as per market value).
 
The raided films included new releases like Race, One Two Three, Jodha Akbar, Tare Zameen Par and Bal Ganesh among others that were being sold in large quantities.
