MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment in its home video business has set upon creating an alternative wave in home viewing with the launch of VCDs and DVDs specially catering to the discerning customer tastes for literature, music, sports, spiritual, self motivation, children, fitness, hobbies, travel, sex education to name a few.
Shemaroo Entertainment director Atul Maroo says, "This kind of content is certainly a genre that audiences will love to consume."

Shemaroo has acquired over a 100 titles across all genres as part of their alternative content. The releases in this category are available in DVD and VCD formats Children Series -‘Animal Song Book’ and ‘Kids Discovering History’; Philosophy Series – ‘How To Relax With Yourself’ and ‘Loving And Accepting Yourself’; Motivational / Spiritual Series – ‘Deepak Chopra’s: ‘The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success’; Literature Series – Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’ and ‘The Taming of the Shrew’; Glamour Series; ‘Bikini Destination’, ‘The Best of the Girls’; Fitness – ‘Shilpa’s Yoga’; Music – ‘The Gurus of Bandish – Pandit Bhimsen Joshi and Ustad Rashid Khan’; Sex Education: ‘Kamasutra’ Sports; amongst others.
Shemaroo will also be undertaking marketing, advertising and publicity activities to promote the alternative content video space. These products are priced from Rs 99 onwards.
