Shemaroo launches Bollywood Divas VCD song compilations

MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment has launched its original song videos of five Bollywood actresses, each representing their era from the 50s to the 90s. These titles come under Shemaroo’s Bollywood Stars Series and are available on VCDs.

To start with the 50s, Meena Kumari represents the diva of that decade and this song compilation pack goes beyond her tragedy image. It includes numbers from films like Azaad and Kaajal among others. In addition, three dances from her movie Pakeezah are also a part of this title.

Mala Sinha dominated the 60s with her melodramatic roles and her various shades from films like Haryali Aur Rasta, Himalay Ki God Mein and Kangan among others, which are featured in this compilation.

The 70s changed the face of Bollywood heroines with Zeenat Aman ruling the decade with her oomph and style. This title is inclusive of songs from films like Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Satyam Shivam Sundaram and The Great Gambler among others.

The early 80s saw Reena Roy among the top three actresses in Bollywood. This compilation pack features her dances from Rocky and Kalicharan among others. This title is also inclusive of her track Sheesha Ho Ya Dil Ho from the film Aasha.

The 90s gave a platform to multiple heroines, each with a style of their own. Urmila Matondkar represents this decade with her earthy innocence and glamourous persona. This title has Urmila’s songs from films like Rangeela, Daud, Khoobsurat and Hindustani among others.

Each of these song compilation VCDs are priced at Rs 45.
