MUMBAI: Shemaroo has released an animated digital book VCD in English and Hindi called BookBox, which improves kids’ vocabulary, reading skills and helps learn faster.
BookBox has visual subtitles scrolling below on the screen in English and Hindi, makes reading automatic and subconscious for the child, since he relates phonetic sounds with these subtitles.
BookBox has five patented animated stories, which have never been used before. It is for children between 4 and 10 years of age.
It is VCD, DVD and CD Rom compatible and every pack has Printpaint and games like Jigsaw puzzle, Memory game and Join-the-dots. In today’s computer dominated scenario, it encourages a love for the reading habit amongst children, which is very essential.
Subsequently, BookBox Vol 2 and the DVD with 10 patented animated stories will be released shortly.
On the other hand, Rhyme Time is a nursery rhymes short film on VCD with exclusive performances and lot of live action. Its unique feature is the live choreographed dance sequences as children can ape them and dance along with it. Every pack contains free labels and a 30 page booklet, which children can use while singing their rhymes.
Other Nursery Rhymes product in the market, have a strong International accent, however Rhyme Time is created especially for children in India, where they can relate to the language and comprehend its accent. It is for children below 10 years and is sealed in an attractive package with pop outs of Santa and Clumsy Clown.
