MUMBAI: The shooting of the much-awaited Dabangg 2 commenced today, after a private opening party for the cast and crew, thrown by first-time Director Arbaaz Khan.
For the shooting, Kamal Amrohi Studios in Mumbai has been exclusively booked and refashioned to resemble the lanes of Kanpur. This is the first time in the 55-year-old history of the studio that it has been hired out exclusively. Tajdar Amrohi, of Kamal Amrohi Studios, told a newspaper, "This arrangement is exclusive to Salman. Till date, we haven’t extended such privileges to anybody."
Moreover, the security around the studio is also unparalleled to any security deputed in Bollywood’s past. The idea coming from Salman Khan himself, a total of 80 trained bodyguards have been assigned.
