MUMBAI: Shringar Cinemas Ltd has received the entertainment tax exemption for its Fame Multiplex situated at Pimpri, Pune and the said exemption will be availed by this multiplex with effect from 12 January, 2007.
Under the Entertainment Tax Exemption policy, Fame Pimpri will enjoy 100 per cent exemption for the first three years and 75 per cent exemption of the prescribed rate for the subsequent two years.
Further the company has informed that, the entertainment tax paid till now by the said multiplex from 28 May, 2006 to 11 January, 2007 was Rs 11.5 million (Rs 1.15 crores).
