Mumbai: Shyam Benegal has started shooting for his next, Abba Ka Kuan, with Minissha Lamba and Boman Irani in Hyderabad. A political satire, Abba Ka Kuan, is a village based story about an educated Muslim girl called, Muskaan.
 
Lamba, who is yet to come to terms with the offer, gushed with excitement, "When the call first came from Shyam Babu’s office, I thought it was a joke. When I went to meet Shyam Babu, he gave me a dialogue to recite in the Dakani dialect. This is a Hyderabadi dialect and the heroine has to speak in that throughout the film. The next thing I knew was that, I was in the film."
 
This father daughter film will have a start to finish schedule in Hyderabad. Lamba will be flying in and out of Hyderabad for her other commitments, but for now the Kidnap actress is proud to have bagged a film with one of the country’s finest filmmakers.
