Sony Pictures inks three film deal with Pritish Nandy Comm.

Mumbai: Pritish Nandy Communications has inked a three-film deal with Sony Pictures. Three films will be made in India as co-productions between PNC and Sony Pictures.

Details of these films will be released subsequently, one of which, Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram, is in the stages of being finalized between the two companies.

PNC chairperson Pritish Nandy says, "This co-production deal is a major breakthrough for Indian cinema and brings together Indian talent and international studio expertise to optimally exploit the global opportunities that exist for our kind of movies. We are proud to associate with Sony Pictures and believe this relationship will take us forward in the process of reaching quality Indian movies to audiences in all parts of the world."

PNC recently collaborated with Sony Pictures and DQ Entertainment, wherein Sony acquired the worldwide distribution rights to PNC’s forthcoming comedy Meerabai Not Out. DQ Entertainment acquired a 50 per cent stake in the film.

Sony Pictures foray into Bollywood started with Saawariya, which was co-produced along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Furthermore, Sony Pictures has also inked a co-production deal with Eros International to jointly develop, produce and acquire multiple films for Hindi films.
