Sony Pictures negotiates with Percept for Hello distribution

Mumbai: Sony Pictures Releasing of India is in negotiations with Percept Picture Company to partner for the distribution of Atul Agnihotri’s Hello, adapted from Chetan Bhagat’s best seller book One Night @ A Call Centre.

Hello, presented by Paul Parmer, stars Sharman Joshi, Sohail Khan, Ishaa Koppikar, Amrita Arora, Gul Panag, Sharat Saxena, Dalip Tahil along with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in a special appearance. The film is slated to release on 10 October.

Sony Pictures India chief Uday Singh and Percept Picture Company IPR and distribution head Ashok Ahuja informed that the modalities of the deal are still being worked out and it was too early to reveal any further details.

However sources inform that Percept and Sony have partnered to distribute the movie jointly in a few territories or either jointly license the rights to sub distributors for a few territories. The companies will also distribute the movie in some territories by themselves. Percept is not selling the theatrical distribution rights to Sony.
