SRK praises Slumdog Millionaire’s sound & screenplay

MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan has just returned from LA after finishing a month long shooting schedule for My Name Is Khan being directed by Karan Johar.

In LA, Khan presented the nomination for Slumdog Millionaire in the Best Motion Picture category. "I have just returned from the US and people there have become crazy about the film and its music," says Khan.

Speaking on what he likes about the film, he says, "I have particularly loved the sound of the film. I think it’s brilliant. And so is its screenplay. We should understand their screenplay technique and try and make a truly Indian film. Slumdog Millionaire is an incentive for us and I hope they win all ten Oscars."

Slumdog has been nominated in the Oscar for best screenplay, best sound and best sound mixing category apart from 7 other nominations in various categories.

All this, and the actor has no regret for not singing this film. "I have already hosted two seasons of Kaun Banega Crorepati on TV," he jokes.

I can’t regret something, which I could not have done. I don’t think I would have done justice to the role of a game show host like Anil Kapoor," he says.

On a parting note Khan says, "I hope to win an Oscar someday, especially for an Indian film, made in India."
