MUMBAI: Star has launched Star Gold and Star One on the Sky digital TV platform in the UK. Sky is the leading pay TV service provider in the UK. The launch expands StarÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Indian channel offering on BSkyB from the current line-up of Star Plus and Star News to a total of four channels.
Star One, launched in 2004 in India, offers viewers an array of popular Hindi entertainment programmes. Its two signature shows are Nach Baliye and The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Hindi movie channel Star Gold, brings viewers the best that Bollywood has to offer.
Star One and Star Gold will be available on BSkyB’s Entertainment Pack. The channels will enhance South Asian programming for viewers in 8.2 million households across the UK and Ireland.

Star Plus and Star News were launched on Sky in January 2001.
