Star Pravah to premiere Slumdog Crorepati in Marathi

MUMBAI: Marathi general entertainment channel Star Pravah will premiere the Marathi dubbed version of Slumdog Crorepati on 28 March at 2 pm.

 

Star Pravah programming head Atul Ketkar said, "It is our constant endeavor to provide the best of entertainment to our viewers. Based in Mumbai, Slumdog Crorepati is an edge of the seat and wholesome entertainment experience for the entire family. And we felt a need to let our audiences experience this riveting tale, which has won hearts & critical acclaim world over, in their own language. We hope our audiences would welcome & enjoy this cinematic excellence recognized all over the world."

 

The Oscar winning movie has been directed by Danny Boyle and stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto in lead roles along with Anil Kapoor, Mahesh Manjrekar, Irffan Khan, Saurabh Shukla, Ayush Khedekar and Tanvi Lonkar. The music has been given by AR Rahman.

 

The satellite rights of the English and Hindi versions – Slumdog Millionaire and Slumdog Crorepati respectively reside with Sony Entertainment Television India.
