Studio 18 director – domestic distribution Aman Gill resigns

MUMBAI: Studio 18 director – domestic distribution Aman Gill has put in his papers.

It may be recalled that a few days back Businessofcinema.com had reported about the resignation of the company’s senior vice president Priti Shahani.

Gill joined Studio 18 in December 2006 and was one of the key decision makers in the company. He spearheaded film acquisitions, domestic distribution, and also established and nurtured relationships with key talent for the company.

Gill was also instrumental in acquiring and distributing films like Jab We Met, Welcome, Singh Is Kinng, Golmaal Returns and Ghajini at Studio 18.

Prior to joining Studio 18, Gill worked with Applause Entertainment for more than three years, where he was executive producer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black and supervised the production of Govind Nihalani’s Dev for the company, along with overseeing the marketing and distribution campaigns for both films.

Gill is serving his notice period and his last day with the company will be 31 March, 2010. He is exploring various options in the film industry.
