Studio 18 to buy 35 films’ satellite rights from Moser Baer

Mumbai: Studio 18 will be acquiring satellite rights of 35 films from Moser Baer Entertainment. Studio 18 is a part of Viacom 18 Media, which recently launched the new Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) – Colors.

Some of the recently released films that are a part of this deal are Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam, Shaurya and Hastey Hastey Follow Your Hearts.

Other films include BR Films’ Baghban and Naya Daur (colour), Haseena Maan Jayegi, Afsana, Ek Hi Raasta, Naya Daur, Sadhna, Dhool Ka Pool, Kanoon, Dharmputra, Gumrah, Waqt, Hamraaz, Aadmi Aur Insaan, Ittefaq, Dastaan, Dhund, Zameer, Choti Si Baat, Karm, Pati Patni Aur Woh, The Buring Train, Insaaf Ka Tarazu, Agni Pareeksha, Pratigyabadh, Nikkah, Aaj Ki Awaz, Kirayaddar, Dahleez, Awam and Kal Ki Awaz.

The rights acquired for all the film mentioned above (except Hastey Hastey Follow Your Hearts) include satellite television broadcasting rights, satellite television delivery rights except IPTV (Internet Protocol Television Rights) and cable TV rights for the territory of entire world. It also includes cable TV including free and pay cable TV rights for territory of India and non-exclusive IPTV for the territory of the entire world.

For Hastey Hastey Follow Your Hearts, which stars Jimmy Shergill, Rajpal Yadav, Shakti Kapoor, Nisha Rawal and has been directed by Ramanjit Juneja, the rights acquired are that of satellite TV broadcasting rights, Cable TV, VOD and terrestrial rights for the territory of entire world.
