MUMBAI: The Airtel Bindass India Concert presented by UTV’s Bindass venture was a star-studded event. The show was held on 13 January at the MMRD Grounds, Bandra. Performers on the show included Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza, Rakhi Sawant and Dino Morea. Singer Kunal Ganjawala also hummed on some soul stirring numbers. The dances were choreographed by Ganesh Hedge.
The concert organised by Cineyug was held to celebrate the spirit of young India . It was hosted by host-turned-director Sajid Khan. The concert will be screened on Bindass on Republic Day, 26 January.
Bindass has been running a nationwide contest called the Dance with SRK Contest where the winners had the opportunity to dance with King Khan at the concert. Three lucky winners were chosen through a lucky dip. Nine-year-old Mumbai kid Viddhi says, “I can’t believe that I was invited for the concert and danced with Shah Rukh Khan…it has yet to seep in”. Adds 20-year-old Ankur from Kolkata, “Dreams met reality through the Bindass India concert and I am super excited.” And Delhi-girl Richa says, “I was dead nervous, was not sure what was happening to me…. had to pinch myself to wake me up.”
