MUMBAI: After two decades, producer Anand L Suresh will remake Tamil super hit film Billa, which
starred Rajnikant, Praveena and Sripriya.
The remake will sport the same title. Sources close to the producer say, “It is true that Anandji is remaking Billa, Vishnuvardhan will direct the film. Tamil star Ajith will play Rajni’s role. Nayantara will play Praveena’s role. However, there is stiff competition between Trisha and Shriya, for the role played by Sripriya. Shriya is reportedly asking for Rs 4 million (Rs 40 lakh). The makers are also considering Banu and Rima Sen.”
The film will go on the floors soon, adds the source.
