Tandav Films’ UN ad campaign featuring celebrities on air this weekend

Mumbai: Tandav Films Entertainment is producing a video to mobilize masses to stand up in the movement against poverty, AIDS, umeployment and education. The Public Service Advertisement (PSA) video features celebrities from different walks of life standing up for a social cause.

It features A R Rehman, Gulzar, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, cricketer Yuvraj Singh, actor Ranbir Kapoor and Khuda Kay Liye actress Imaan Ali. It is a one and a half minute long ad and has been directed by Meghna Gulzar.

United Nations Millennium Campaign (UNMC) assigned this ads production charge to Tandav Films. "We are pleased with such a warm gesture by UNMC. I think it is our mere vision towards creativity that leads us to attain this project and I am happy it is for a noble cause. I would like to add as much as to this social need. I announce that this video will be aired free of cost in major television channels," says Tandav Films’ Savita Raj Hiremath. TV channels like MTV and Zee have agreed to showcase the ad and currently talks are on with other channels

The video will essentially focus on the global advocacy campaign called Stand up and Take Action. Last Oct, 43 million people across the globe took part in this campaign and set up a Guinnies world record. A bigger number is what the UNMC is eyeing this year and that is why they are involving the Indian celebrities this time to stand as a face to this campaign.
