TinselVision launches Bollywood website

MUMBAI: TinselVision, an online video-on-demand (VoD) service, announced its worldwide entertainment beta services premiere, beginning 21 November.

The worldwide launch of TinselVision’s service has been much anticipated in the Bollywood, broadband IPTV, home entertainment, convergence media and entertainment capital markets. Yesterday, TinselVision’s invitation-only launch period officially ended and, the full beta service has now been opened to the public.

“We are pleased to announce our preview service has begun and went live at midnight last night,” said TinselVision chairman and CEO Chase Weir.

TinselVision COO Chris Remus added, “We intentionally chose post-Diwali in India and, this Thanksgiving holiday week in the US — where much of our initial marketing efforts began — as we successfully transition from the invitation phase and scale our systems for broad, global viewership.”

TinselVision offers a 360 degree entertainment experience, broadcasting premium Indian television content from leading network providers such as Zee, Star and Zoom, and blockbuster Bollywood movies from Yash Raj Films via IPTV to laptops, mobiles, PCs and televisions for on-demand access “Everywhere, All the Time”. A deal with B4U Music has also been inked today.

A couple more content agreements will be announced today.
