MUMBAI: Toonz Academy, the animation training division of Toonz Animation studio, is organising a national work shop series christened The lighter side of a brighter film. The session will focus on the fun and enthusiasm in animation film making.
The workshop will be handled by creative director Subra Krishnaswamy. An illustrator, a graphic designer and an animator, Subra has served as creative consultant for studios in Europe and South East Asia. The emphasis of the session will be on the pre-production stages of animation, where Subra will share his experience on the eventful journey that culminates in to a classic flick.
"There are a lot of elements that go in to making an animated film. You need to be passionate, enthusiastic and most importantly have a fun approach towards the task. This would help you cater to the subtle points in film making while being at your creative best," said Toonz Academy CEO P. Jayakumar.
The series will kick-start in Nagpur on 18 July. The other places where the session is held include Jabalpur, Trivandrum, Calicut, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore and Ahmedabad.
