Ultra buys world rights of Saif’s film

MUMBAI: Sushil Kumar Agrawal of Ultra has taken over the worldwide rights of Sudhakar Bokade’s much delayed movie Sanam Teri Kasam, which was earlier titled Sambandh.

The film stars Saif Ali Khan and Pooja Bhatt in the lead and is directed by Lawrence D’Souza. The movie will finally see the light of day in January and has music by Nadeem-Shravan.

“I have taken over the worldwide rights of Sanam Teri Kasam. I don’t want to remove Sudhakar Bokade’s name from the credits as a producer and I want his name only because I know the trouble he has gone through during the making of this movie,” says Agrawal.

“I have changed the title of the film from Sambandh to Sanam Teri Kasam. Saif Ali Khan and Pooja Bhatt heads the star cast. There are two factors that work in favour of Sanam Teri Kasam – the subject of the movie and the hero. The film was made a long time ago but the subject of the film suits today’s generation and Saif is a hot actor now. I am getting offers from top distributors for the acquisition of this film and I have planned it for a January 2007 release,” he adds.
