MUMBAI: UTV Motion Pictures Plc’s subsidiary company UTV Motion Pictures (Mauritius) has signed a two-film deal with actor Shahid Kapur.
The first of these films will tentatively commence shooting before 31 March, 2008, and will be completed by November 2008. The second film is expected to begin shooting before March 2009 and will be completed by November 2009.
Kapur has agreed to be the lead actor in two feature films to be produced by UTV, with subjects and directors to be mutually agreed upon by UTV and Kapur. Kapur will also give UTV priority in with regards to the shooting schedule of these two contracted films.
Kapur has acted in films like Ishq Vishq, 36 China Town and Vivah amongst others. The actor is currently shooting a film with Kareena Kapoor, which is being directed by Imtiaz Ali.
