UTV Movies to launch in East Africa

MUMBAI: UTV Software Communications’ Hindi movie channel UTV Movies International has been launched in East Africa. UTV has tied up with Tristar Media Marketing for launch in the region on cable.

UTV Movies will reach out to the ethnic community in the COMESA (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa) countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sudan, Zambia & Malawi.

With this development, UTV’s broadcast footprint now encompasses the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates and South-Eastern Africa.
