MUMBAI: Ronnie Screwvala’s UTV, which has tied up with Aneez Bazmee for two films, will be rolling out the first one in January next year. Actor Ajay Devgan has been signed in for the lead role in this action comedy.
Bazmee and Devgan have worked together in movies like Hulchul (1995), Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha (1998) and Deewangee (2002).
“Ajay Devgan and I will be coming together again after a gap of four years in UTV’s next, which is yet untitled. We last worked together in Venus’s Deewangee. UTV’s film will be an action comedy that will start in January 2007 and will have two more heroes, three heroines and six villains. It will be a big budget movie to be shot in India and abroad,” says Bazmee.
UTV has also tied up with directors and actors from varied backgrounds like Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Vishal Bhardwaj, David Dhawan, Prakash Jha, Madhur Bhandarkar, Anurag Basu, Milan Luthria and John Abraham.
