Varma to direct Tamil version of Darling

MUMBAI: Ram Gopal Varma will be directing the Tamil version of Darling. The Tamil version is produced by a well-known Southern distributor Gaurav Sharma. The Hindi version featuring Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol, Isha Koppikar and others is being directed by Varma for T-Series and is in its last lap.

A source close to Sharma reveals, “RGV has been finalised to direct the Tamil version. Mahadevan is playing Fardeen Khan’s role in this version. It seems Esha, who plays a ghost in the original version, has refused to portray the same role in the Tamil one. I believe that the Hindi version is being readied for July release.

“The shooting of this Tamil version will be possibly with Ramu’s hindi film Sarkar 2 featuring Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya at Hyderabad’s D. Rama Naidu Studios.”
