VFX Guru Michael Fink at FRAMES 2011

MUMBAI: VFX guru, Michael Fink will be a part of FICCI FRAMES 2011.He will hold a session on 3 D VFX on 23 March, 2011.
 
In 1977 Fink began working in film on China Syndrome which catapulted him into the film business. He worked on films such as Star Trek the Motion Picture and Bladerunner before becoming a Visual Effects Supervisor on War Games, in 1982. He has, since, worked on over 45 films. He joined Prime Focus in 2008 and oversaw visual effects for films such as G.I. Joe, New Moon, Avatar, A Team. Additionally, Michael has helped guide the establishment of the global visual effects group in North America, the UK and India. In 2008, Fink received an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects and a BAFTA for Best Special Visual Effects for the film The Golden Compass.
 
His keynote session at FRAMES will deal with sources of inspiration and historical highlights in visual effects as well as his own vision for visual effects technologies for the Indian film industry and a discussion of some of his recent work that will include 3D stereoscopy done at Prime Focus.
