Vidhu Vinod Chopra launches sound studio

MUMBAI: Producer-director Vidhu Vinod Chopra has inaugurated his state-of-the-art sound studio located at his office in Mumbai where he worked with Shantanu Moitra on the music of Rajkumar Hirani’s next project.


 


The studio is named Pancham after noted composer, the Late R D Burman with whom Chopra has recorded for his films Parinda and the musical 1942: A Love Story. Moitra, Chopra and Hirani delivered the theme song in the first sitting at the new studio.


 

Chopra has just returned from his three week stay in the US where his film Eklavya – The Royal Guard was screened on 4 October at New York University as a part of the Director’s Series. Other directors featured in this series include Ang Lee, Spike Lee, David Lynch, Martin Scorcese and Sean Penn.
