Mumbai: Toshiba India has roped in Bollywood actress Vidya Balan as its brand ambassador for the company’s new range of consumer durables like LCD televisions, refrigerators, washing machines and notebooks.
The new products aim to further strengthen Toshiba’s presence in the Indian market. The company is targeting revenues of $1 billion in India by 2015.
Toshiba India managing director Yuzo Kato said, "With the launch of this new range of advanced technology products, we want to demonstrate to Indian consumers our long-term commitment to bring in the very latest products and technologies. We believe this step will give us a stronger, bolder presence in the Indian market, which is witnessing immense changes in lifestyles of Indian consumers."
