Mumbai :Vidya Balan’s career seems to be on a roll right now. Her Lage Raho Munnabhai is just round the corner for a release. Just few days back she was signed by Shaji Karun for his film, Suryamukhi a bio pic on controversial painter Raja Ravi Varma. Now, she has been signed by T Series for the remake of Rajnikant’s super hit Tamil film, Chandramukhi having the same name in its hindi version. Priyadarshan shall be directing Chandramukhi for T Series.
Confirming the news, Vidya Balan tells us, “I feel I am extremely lucky to be a part of two such prestigious projects. I was dying to work under Priyan and it is going to be one interesting film for sure. All of Chandramukhi’s southern versions have been record breaking hits and I am sure it will work out well in its hindi remake as well.”
When asked about Madhuri being the first choice for Suryamukhi she commented, “It doesn’t matter who was being considered for the role first now that I have been signed.”
Her co star for Chandramukhi shall be Akshay Kumar but her co star for Suryamukhi to play the title
