Viral infection delays Amitabh’s March

Mumbai :Sunil Doshi’s Alliance Media & Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. has acquired the rights of Luc Jacquet’s March of The Penguins(2005) and will release the Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu versions of the French docu-film later this month. Amitabh Bachchan has been roped in to give the voiceover for this thought provoking film that chronicles the flight of displaced Penguins from Antartica. Oscar winner Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman had done the voiceover for the film in English earlier.

Doshi’s says, “The film is one I’d be very happy to be part of. The film’s release got delayed only because Mr. Bachchan was extremely busy. He would have done it a long time ago but his voice had been affected due to a viral infection.” The Penguins have had a total worldwide gross of $ 1.2 billion till date. It is been generally seen that films that have Amitabh’s voice as the narrator like Lagaan and Parineeta have always faired well at the box office. So the Penguins can be hopeful of marching to victory in India as well.
