MUMBAI: The Bhatts who are synonymous for making small, low-cost films with big stories to tell, are ready with two more films post their most recent success Raaz – The Mystery Continues.
The two films that are slated to release in the near future are Jashn and Tum Mile.
The shooting of Jashn is complete and post production of the film is now underway. Jashan is a musical, starring Adhayan Suman, Rock On actress Shahana Goswami and Anjana Sukhani. The film talks about the aspirations of the youth of this country.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com Vishesh Films managing director and chairman Mukesh Bhatt says, "In every home, in every city, there is a nobody who wants to be a somebody. It’s a story of a young boy who wants to make it big."
The film is directed by Raksha Mistry who earlier directed Killer for Vishesh Films. Jashn has been made in a reasonable budget of Rs 60 million (Rs 6 crores) and is slated to release during the summer, around May or June, 2009.
Tum Mile, on the other hand, has been made in a bigger budget of Rs 250 million (Rs 25 crores) and stars Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan. The film deals with the 26 July rains and is about two people who have drifted apart and how they come together after the disaster. According to Bhatt, "It’s a different story, something that has not been tried before. We like to be trend setters,"
Tum Mile will be releasing in July, 2009 as Bhatt says, "We are releasing the film in July to synchronize the mood of the audience with the rains as the film is based on that."
Besides Jashn and Tum Mile there are two other films in the pipeline, which the production house plans to start towards the end of 2009.
