Vivek Agnihotri Creates & Visione Pictures announce Buddha in a Traffic Jam

MUMBAI: Vivek Agnihotri Creates and Visione Pictures in association with Friday Night Productions (an initiative by Indian School of Business students), have launched a new film called Buddha in a Traffic Jam.

The film stars Arunoday Singh, Mahie Gill, Anupam Kher, newcomer Anchal Dwivedi, and Pallavi Joshi. It is directed by Agnihotri.

The shooting of the film is underway in the campus of Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. The entire cast and crew are living on campus like the students.
The film is about Vikram Pandit, a student of the Indian Institute of Business who becomes the blue-eyed boy of Professor Jamshed Batki. Under Batki’s influence Vikram starts public discoursing and publishing articles under his own name that are authored by Batki himself. The articles, which deal with the plight of the poor in India, are posted on his Blog as well as Facebook. The story mirrors the agony of the deprived in India.

If all goes as planned, the film will release by the end of 2011.
