Warner Bros. to launch videogame of Where the Wild Things Are

MUMBAI: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Legendary Pictures announce the launch of Where the Wild Things Are the videogame available on Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system, Wii and Nintendo DS.

For the first time ever, kids can join the Wild Things in this action-adventure game inspired by the highly anticipated Warner Bros. theatrical release from Warner Bros. Pictures, Legendary Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures and based on the best-selling children’s picture book by Maurice Sendak.

In Where the Wild Things Are the videogame, players assume the role of the young Max to explore the island of the Wild Things, journey across its dangerous terrain, overcome hazardous obstacles and battle fierce creatures.

“Where the Wild Things Are is a wonderful game for kids, which brings their favorite story and characters to life with fun adventure game play,” said Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment senior vice president Production and Development Samantha Ryan. “Playing as the mischievous Max, they can run, jump, climb, fly and swing across the island, explore its unique environments and team-up with the Wild Things on new adventures.”

Where the Wild Things Are was developed for Wii™, PLAYSTATION®3 and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft by Griptonite Games, and for Nintendo DS™ by WayForward.

Where the Wild Things Are the videogame is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and older and is available on Wii for $39.99, Xbox 360 for $49.99 and PlayStation 3 for $49.99. The Nintendo DS version is rated E for Everyone and is available for $29.99.
