Mumbai: In the wake of recent terror attacks, Yash Raj Films has delayed the advance booking of its forthcoming film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Yash Raj Films vice president distribution Sahdev Ghei says, "Advance booking at multiplexes always opens on Wednesdays and we have decided that we would open advance booking for single screens simultaneously."

The advance booking was earlier slated to open on 7 December, but has now been shifted to 10 December. So instead of a five-day window, the film will only get a two-day advance booking window.

A source informed, "The police and government officials have declared an alert till 7 December and public places like multiplexes have been asked to take additional measures for safety and security." Additionally, no paid previews of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi will be held at any multiplex this time.

"Moreover, it is just one day after the Babri Masjid massacre, which took place on 6 December sixteen years ago. So one area of worry is that if the advance booking opens on 7 December, it may not get the desired response. Hence as a precautionary step, Yash Raj has decided to postpone the advance booking to 10 December," the source added.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, which is releasing on 12 December, stars Shah Rukh Khan and is directed by Aditya Chopra.
