MUMBAI: Stand up comedian Vir Das has been signed by Yash Raj Films to star in Parmeet Sethi’s diretorial debut, which stars Shahid Kapur and Anushka Sharma in the lead.
"I guess my potential as an actor is being noticed and appreciated now. I try to showcase by different talents to the audience whether it’s stand up comedy, acting, music or just writing. This is just the beginning for me. I am new in this industry and I am learning from everyone. Quite honestly, I don’t think about it too much, I try to have a blast. 2009 seems to be a very busy year for me, but I am just getting started," said Das.
Das started his acting career in 2007 with Vikram Bhatt’s Mumbai Salsa.
