Mumbai: Tashan might very well be a stylish film. Something radically new being offered by Yash Raj Films. But there is a lot more to the film before it begins. Trailers of YRF’s forthcoming films inform what you can expect from their stable this year.
We have already seen trailers of Jugal Hansraj’s Disney collaboration Roadside Romeo featuring Saif Ali Khan as the animated Romeo auditioning for a film. The new promo has Kareena Kapoor’s animated character Laila auditioning for the same film. While the animated romeo appeared suave and energetic, Laila is shown to be
more stylish and filled with sex appeal.
The other trailer was Bachna Ae Haseeno that stars Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Minnisha Lamba and Deepika Padukone. The film has been directed by Siddharth Anand. This trailer showcases Ranbir Kapoor as the alpha male and snapshots of the three leading ladies with the classic song Bachna Ae Haseeno playing in the backdrop.
Yet another trailer is the Kunal Kohli-directed film Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. This trailer establishes the plot of four orphans going to live with Saif Ali Khan, while Rani Mukherjee is seen zipping through the clouds on her bicycle playing a fairy-like character.
While almost the entire lineup of YRF is presented for the year, the promo of one film is yet to be seen. The much talked about Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi directed by Aditya Chopra and starring Shahrukh Khan. We’ll see them team here after Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
