Zee TV business head Nitin Vaidya quits

MUMBAI: Zee TV business head and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) COO Nitin Vaidya has quit the company after a stint of over a decade.

Vaidya expressed his desire to explore new vistas and was associated with the Zee family for over a decade.

Vaidya said, “It’s been over 10 glorious years with the Zee family which I shall always cherish. Zee gave me the opportunity to broaden my horizon and explore diversified functions. I am extremely thankful to the management who have always supported and backed my decisions.”

Vaidya’s tenure at Zee Group comprises many landmarks, including launching and later establishing Zee Marathi. He then launched Zee Talkies as an exclusive cinema channel. He also help set up the film production and distribution business in Marathi. Vaidya also established Zee Bangla.

ZEEL MD and CEO Punit Goenka said, “Zee family will always remember Nitin for his adroit understanding of viewer’s mind and penetrating insight into content and programming. The entire Zee family wishes Nitin all success in his new endeavors.”

It is learnt that Zee will not be seeking an immediate replacement for Vaidya’s role and his direct reports will henceforth be reporting into Goenka.
