On Sunday, Bollywood’s superstar Salman Khan received lots of criticism that mounted a lively defence of terrorist Yakub Memon who is set to be executed for his role in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case. After drawing outrage of many, Salman Khan had to give apology for the same.
Dabangg Khan’s late night tweets, created a massive controversy that read, Yakub Memon who is convicted in 1993 bomb blast should not be hanged and instead his brother Tiger the absconding main accused in the case, should be hanged. Also one of the tweets read, “1 innocent man killed is killing the humanity,” which the actor deleted later after people were offended by the word ‘innocent’.
The actor had offered an unconditional apology the next day itself, after his tweets supporting 1993 Mumbai blasts accused, Yakub Memon, sparked a massive controversy. The tweets provoked strong reactions from political parties and social media users.
Also Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam criticized the actor saying he should pull down his ‘innocent man’ tweet in favour of Memon.
The Dabangg Star took to his Twitter to apologize for his tweets, that read , “I would like to unconditionally apologize for any misunderstanding I may have created unintentionally. My dad called and said I should retract my tweets as they have the potential to create misunderstanding. I here by retract them.”

His tweets that also asked Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to confirm whether Tiger Memon is in his country, Salman said that his dad called & said he should retract all his tweets as they have the potential to create misunderstanding and hereby he retract them.
Many political parties who were unhappy with the actors’ reaction and involvement against the 1993 case created a protest outside his house. Many political parties who thought that his tweets pointed the judicial and government laws, protested outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence.
Soon after political parties got down on road, high security was tightened outside the house. Also brother Sohail Khan was seen down at the residence making sure that there is no harm to anyone.
