MUMBAI: Earlier this week, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan paid a visit to veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who is recuperating in Lilavati hospital.

Following a cardiac arrest, the yesteryear superstar was rushed to a suburban Mumbai hospital around 10 days ago. Since then, he has been recovering steadily, with his wife Saira Banu recently revealing that Kumar would be home soon (SEE STORY HERE).

Amitabh Bachchan paid a visit to Dilip Kumar on Monday, and seemed pleased that the nonagenarian actor was getting better. He said, “He seemed cheerful, at least when he saw me. Sairaji warned me that he had been quite irritable and non-cooperative throughout the day, and so to excuse any kind of untoward behaviour that he may dole out to me. But he was gracious and kind.”

Bachchan was also pleasantly surprised that Dilip Kumar still had strength when he held his hand.

“He smiled when he saw me and when I held his hand he gripped it like I would never be able to extricate myself from it … strong and full of strength.”
