Bollywood veteran Vinod Khanna passed away last week, leaving the whole industry in a state of shock. A week after his sad demise, speculations are already doing rounds that who will fill his position in the Lok Sabha seat. To people who don’t know, Vinod Khanna was a sitting Bharatiya Janata Party member of the Lok Sabha from the Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab.
According to reports, the members of the party are thinking of handing over Vinod Khanna’s highly responsible seat to someone from Bollywood. While no official announcement or statement has been made on the same by any of the party members, it is reported that Rishi Kapoor’s name has come to the forefront. Since Rishi Kapoor has been backing the actor ever since he passed away, there are possibilities that he might take over the seat.

The other name that is doing rounds if of Khiladi actor, Akshay Kumar. It is being reported that Akshay Kumar is doing lots of movies with social messages and social work for drought-ridden families of farmers and martyrs. So, he might be the suggested name to take the plunge.
