The much awaited film ‘Bajirao Mastani’ starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra is all set to release in Tamil and Telugu as well. The Hindi movie going audiences were already awaiting the film, and now even the Southern audience can mark the date on their calendars. It has already become a trend to release Bollywood films in South through dubbed versions featuring popular South stars. After Salman Khan’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, now ‘Bajirao Mastani’ will also dazzle South audience.

‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ however failed to work its magic at the South box office as the film did not get much reaction from the audience there. Although the film did splendid at the box office overall, the collective amount of the film from its South earnings was very poor. Despite knowing the same, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is thrilled about getting the dubbed versions ready for ‘Bajirao Mastani’ in Tamil and Telugu. PRDP had Ram Charan voicing for Salman’s charatcer, we wonder who are roped in for SBL‘s flick.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is surely on cloud nine and is expecting a lot from this film as it is very close to his heart. In a recent event the director stated that ‘Bajirao Mastani’ has been a story he has been yearning to tell and that he is glad that cine-goers in the southern regions will get to watch the film in their own language. This is a dream the filmmaker has lived with for several years and he is looking forward to audiences across markets living his dream with him. Very poetically put, just like his movies!

The film has been creating a lot of buzz ever since the first look posters of actors Ranveer Singh as Peshwa Bajirao, Deepika Padukone as his second wife Mastani and Priyanka Chopra as his first wife Kashibai. Other than that the crash with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dilwale’ on December 18, 2015 has been keeping people on their toes. Well now that ‘Dilwale’ does not have dubbed versions and ‘Bajirao Mastani‘, can we say the latter has an upper-hand? Only time will tell.
