VADODARA: Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s beauty and poise causes a stampede in any part of the world. We were witness to this universal fact recently, when the lovely lady stepped out in style, to launch a newly opened jewelry store by Kalyan Jewelers in Vadodara, Gujarat. Thousands upon thousands of star-struck fans thronged the venue to catch a glimpse of their favourite superstar plus yummy mummy.
Aishwarya endorses the brand, and her appearance caused a near stampede in the sleepy town in Gujarat.
The organisers had erected a special stage just outside the store, as they were well versed with the multitude of crowds Aishwarya can draw. The gorgeous Bachchan bahu addressed her loyal fans, before she went ahead with the formalities of the launch of the store.
Looking resplendent in an apple green Falguni and Shane anarkali outfit, Aishwarya chose to address her adoring fans. She then proceeded to light the auspicious lamp and said a few words of her association with the brand. Also present at the store launch were other dignitaries, including the Managing Director of Kalyan Jewelers. This is the second Kalyan store launch which Aishwarya has inaugurated; the first being in Kochi on 19th August.
And Aishwarya has taken her connection to the state of Gujarat further by campaigning for Narendra Modi. Days before the first phase of assembly elections has begun, Aishwarya has taken a stand by praising Narendra Modi’s government and the progress Gujarat has witnessed in the last few years. This despite the growing disillusionment most other parties face towards Modi’s Gujarat.
It is also a fact that the Bachchan family has a strong association with the state of Gujarat, including Aishwarya’s father-in-law, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh is the brand ambassador for the state, and it is perhaps why bahu Ash has also chosen to increase her association with the beautiful West Indian state.
