MUMBAI: Bollywood newbie Alia Bhatt is definitely the cutest face in Bollywood currently. The 19 year debuted playing a modern and chic girl Shanaya, in Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’.

But we hear that other than being a pretty face, the hard-working Alia takes her job as an actress very seriously. In her next ‘2 States: The Story of My Marriage’ based on the novel written by Chetan Bhagat, the young Bhatt is to play‘Ananya Swaminathan’ a Tamilian, and she’s making sure she lives up to all expectations!

After bagging this project Alia has apparently pulled up her socks and is going out of her way to be the perfect Tamil Iyengar girl. A source close to Alia, reveals, “She is learning the Tamil culture and tradition. She has also hired a special Tamilian teacher who will help her to adapt the south Indian culture.”

Interestingly, Alia was also spotted in many south Indian localities to get a grip on her character.

In “2 States”, the ‘Student of the Year’ star will star opposite ‘Ishaqzaade’ actor Arjun Kapoor. In a photo shoot of the duo Alia even donned some typical south Indian saris. ‘2 States’ is directed by Abhishek Verman and is co-produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala. The story charts a turbulent relationship of a Punjabi boy (Krish) and a Tamilian girl (Ananya), IIM-A classmates who fall in love, much to the chagrin of their respective families.
