Amitabh Bachchan Inaugurates The ‘Cinema Suite’ – Commemorating 100 Years Of Indian Cinema

To celebrate 100 glorious years of Indian Cinema, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan inaugurated the eclectically designed Cinema Suite at 51 Buckingham Gate, Taj Suites & Residencies, London.

The ultra luxurious, prime 5-star hotel Taj paid its own tribute to Bollywood recently, by launching the ‘Cinema Suite’ at Taj’s 51 Buckingham Gate, London. And they chose the most magnificent maiden guest they could ever think of, to inaugurate this special suite- Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan!

The ‘Cinema Suite’ hosted its very first guest two days ago- Bollywood’s legend Amitabh Bachchan. Mr. Bachchan flew in specially from Mumbai, to inaugurate the eclectically designed Cinema Suite at 51 Buckingham Gate, Taj Suites & Residencies, London.

Amitabh Bachchan looked at home in this very cozy, very stylish, exquisite cinema suite. Dressed in a crisp white shirt and black velvet trousers, Big B posed and looked absolutely regal in this presidential suite. Seated at a button back chesterfield sofa, the man held forth like a King, and spoke about all things related to cinema. Exquisite lamps and furniture, fit for royalty, surrounded him in his den.

The ‘Cinema Suite’ has been crafted specifically by acclaimed Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Needless to say, it is inspired from films and motion pictures from around the world.

Inspirations have been taken from cinematic legends like Satyajit Ray, Francis Ford Coppola, Bergman; Majidi, Wong Kar-Wai, Almodovar, Marilyn Monroe, Guru Dutt, Merchant Ivory and Bimal Roy.
