Amole Gupte’s Next Seems Promising And Fascinating, Watch Teaser!

Much-admired director, Amole Gupte and Indian studio Eros International’s Trinity Pictures have come together for a live action-adventure film titled Sniff.

Amole Gupte, who has previously been part of children-centric films like Taare Zameen Par, Hawa Hawaai and Stanley Ka Dabba, has now come with yet another intriguing story of Sunny Gill, an eight-year-old boy.

Sunny plays the lead character in the family entertainer that revolves around a young Sikh boy who is a spy in the making along with his curious gang of extraordinary cohorts, read a statement from the studio.

The film, which is trying to pioneer action drama for kids, does seem engaging as well as promising. Gupte told a leading daily in an interview, that he conducts workshops for kids and selects his cast from there rather than auditioning them. Further he added that, “We started off on Ganesh Chaturthi with a Ganesh Aarti sung by Shankar Mahadevan. It was shot in a pandal in Virar with kids and senior citizens from a local housing society. It’s a beautiful number; we couldn’t have asked for a better start,” Amole informed the daily adding that popular Qawwali singer Aziz Naza’s sons, Mujtaba and Munir, make their debut as composers with this film, the first project under the banner of Eros’s Trinity Pictures.

Khushmeet Gill, an eight years old, will play the title role which also stars Surekha Sikri, Sushmita Mukherjee, Manmeet Singh and Putul Guha which is slated to release in 2017 summer.
