MUMBAI: Bejoy Nambiar’s action-packed thriller ‘David’ saw a grand filmi premiere, the likes of which included Bollywood stars like Shilpa Shetty, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kabir Khan and many others.
The cast and crew of the film was excited to see their peer’s reaction to their hard work in ‘David’. Isha Sharvani wowed us in a black singlet and zebra printed skirt, while Neil Nitin Mukesh couldn’t contain his excitement in a grey shirt and blue jeans. He kept the pretty actress Mugdha Godse company throughout the screening, while director Bejoy Nambiar looked proudly on.
Also present was director Kabir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan (in a white kurta-pyjama, supporting his friend Nambiar), Ayushmann Khurrana (looking not-so-cool in a just-out-of-bed ensemble), and Shilpa Shetty. Shazahn Padamsee chose a pink peplum top to go with her denims, while Aditi Rao Hydari wore a maroon anarkali outfit. Milind Soman came in with a mysterious female friend, and we were so glad to see the handsome ex-model back in circulation that we forgave his mismatched outfit. Prateik Babbar was there, with a constant surprised look playing upon his visage (perhaps the young star was wondering why he wasn’t cast in ‘David’ over Vinay Virmani). Director Sudhir Mishra also put in an appearance at this premiere.
The lead stars of ‘David’ like the fiery Monica Dogra, superbly talented Tabu and South superstar Vikram were missing from this Bollywood filmi party. Their presence was sorely missed, especially because we wanted to see what the lovely Ms Dogra would have chosen as her eclectic, fashion-forward sartorial style for the evening.
