Box Office: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Sarbjit First Weekend Collection

Despite good growth during the weekend, Sarbjit couldn’t manage to mint good numbers at the Box office during the weekend collection due to a dull opening on its first day.

The film, which is based on a true story of late Sarabjit Singh, had scored lower than expected on its first day and collected Rs 3 crore nett (30 million). The film collected Rs 3 crore (30 million) on Friday, Rs 4 crore (40 million) on Saturday and Rs 4.75 crore (47.5 million) on Sunday. The total first weekend collection of the film is Rs 11.75 crore (117 million), which is actually very poor.

Well, depending on the word of mouth, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer ‘Sarbjit’ might uphill with decent collection on Monday. It’s very important for the film to get good numbers on Monday, which actually looks difficult. The film can run well at the Box Office depending on the word of mouth and it remains to see if the film picks up the pace on weekdays.

Sarbjit’, which stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadda in the lead roles, has impressed the audience with its emotional storyline. Richa and Randeep Hooda’s performance in the film has moved viewers emotionally but Aishwarya’s role as Dalbir failed to leave any impression on the audience.[/tps_footer]
