Shujaat Saudagar’s musical drama ‘Rock On 2,’ which stars Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Prachi Desai and Shashank Arora in lead roles released on November 11. The film opened to a poor start and has failed to impress the audience. Rock On 2 collected around Rs. 2 crore nett approx on the first day but managed to show some growth during the weekend. Despite showing good growth during the weekend, the total weekend collection of the film is not so impressive and unexpected.
The film collected Rs 2.50 crore nett approx on Saturday and has continued with the same trend on Sunday too with Rs. 2.50 crore nett approx. Rock On 2 has managed to collect Rs 7 crore (70 million) nett approx on the first weekend.
The film failed to draw the audience in the theatre and reason can be due to the mixed reviews. Also, the demonetization of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes by the Modi government can be one of the reasons behind the film’s failure.Now it remains to see what magic the film creates to survive at the Box Office in the coming days.
