This week saw the release of Yash Raj Films Kill Dil, starring power pack performers, Govinda, Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar. Produced by Aditya Chopra, directed by Shaad Ali, the movie was expected to be a killer entertainer that hit the ‘Dil’ to the core.
Opened to not so good reviews by the critics, the movie may completely ride on Govinda and Ranveer Singh’s presence as they are garnering praises from the critics and audience as well. Released over 2000 screens, the movie has done a fare business at the box office with its first day collection of 7 crores (70 million)
Though the team tried their best to promote their film by visiting on the sets of well known television serials, and went on inking themselves and designed graffiti, but it looks it did not help much to get what they were looking for. Being a YRF movie, the expectations are sky high, apart from the star cast, the music and songs of the movie can play a positive role in getting the audience.
Hence, we can say that it still stands a chance to make booming numbers at the box office, by positive word of mouth publicity.
