Box Office: Riteish Deshmukh’s Banjo First Weekend Collection

Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri’s ‘Banjo’ started on a low note at the box office. The film was not much awaited by the masses and also the promotions were not up to the mark. Due to the not so grand star cast many people were unaware of its release. ‘Banjo’ also got average reviews for its storyline and plot. The film was unable to attract large crowds at the screens.

Riteish Deshmukh’s film has finally surpassed its first weekend at the box office. After facing low numbers on the first day the film had to struggle to mint numbers on the weekend. The movie gathered some audiences in the areas of Maharashtra but suffered badly in the North circuits.

‘Banjo’s collections are lower than that of ‘Madaari’, ‘Freaky Ali’ and ‘Saala Khadoos’ too. The first weekend business of the Riteish Deshmukh starrer is Rs. 1.50 crore net approx. on Friday, Rs.1.75 crore net approx. on Saturday and Rs.2.25 crore net approx. on Sunday. The total collection of the musical drama comes to Rs.5.50 crore net approx.

The films that released with ‘Banjo’ were ‘Parched’ and ‘Days Of Tafree’. Both the movies have tanked at the box office with hardly any collections. The two films earned hardly 60 lakhs approx. in the first weekend.
