Box Office: Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan’s Rangoon Falls Flat On First Monday!

The much-talked film Rangoon starring Kangana Ranaut, Shahid Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan released on Friday, February 24th. The film, which is set against the backdrop of the Second World War 2, witnessed a horrible Monday at the Box Office. The film was high on promotions but the same could not result best in terms of the collection at the Box Office. After a poor first weekend, Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon has drastically fallen at the Box Office on its first Monday also.

Rangoon had a very low opening day of around Rs 5 crore (50 million) nett on its first day. The film collected Rs 4.75 crore (47.5 million) on Saturday and the collections shockingly went down on Sunday. The film collected Rs. 4.50 crore (45 million) nett approx on Sunday.

The collections of the film have fallen by 70% on its first Monday. Rangoon has collected Rs 1.25 crore nett approx on Monday and this takes the total 4 days collection to Rs 15.56 crore nett approx. None of the films including Bombay Velvet, Mirzya, Rock On 2 have witnessed this poor collection on their first Monday. Shocking!

Rangoon has opened to approximately 1800 screens across the India and the film has received mixed reviews from the film critics as well as from the audience. Though the film is being heard and talked about everywhere, Vishal Bhardwaj’Rangoon could not create wonders at the Box Office. Another debacle?
